1988 vs 2005 The Lion the Witch & the Wardrobe?

Which do you prefer? I like the BBC 1988 one more sure the effects are dated but it has a warm fizzy feeling to it and all the characters just come to life, the other just doesn’t do much for me though I do like Tilda Swintons witch alot.
