landlord liability with termite infestation?

we have a termite infestation, in a tree in our front yard. we have informed our landlord of the problem, and he has not done anything,via pest control services.. if that tree falls on our home(we pay lot rent), is the landlord liable for the damages, that may incur on our home?

The presence of termites in a tree doesn’t mean that it is about to drop onto you, so don’t panic,

From you landlord’s point of view, you complaint is an unwarranted expense. Is your problem with the tree or the termites? Trees add a lot of value to a house and so by suggesting that the termites be removed and a tree surgeon called, you may be helping to protect her investment. Get quotes and forward them to her. I like the idea of a registered letter detailing your safety concerns, but doubt if it will come to an event where you might take action on her inaction.
